Are we ready for the Second Coming? That is a good question, and the following answers have eternal ramifications. Revelation 19 says the “bride has made herself ready.” What does that mean, and how might we accomplish this? According to Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus says: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’” My thirty-five-second video discusses how in context, these people thought they were Christians but had no good spiritual fruit – one being love. From my twenty-plus years of studying and writing about the end-time, I have found two main themes in scripture addressing being ready for Christ’s return – holiness and love.
In chapter 14 of my book When the Perfect Comes, I discuss this and many other issues in preparing for the Tribulation and the most talked about event in the Bible – Christ’s return. There are eight times as many scriptures concerning the Second Coming as the First, and as discussed in chapter 8, the early church and scripture in Hosea seem to point to this occurring within the next decade. I hope you will join me in preparing for this most climactic event in human history. Our temporal choices now affect the glory we share with Christ at His coming and subsequent reign on earth.
